We have two runners at Monbetsu on Wednesday - Agua De Vida in the 1700m 6R, with Kuniaki Sasaki in the saddle, and Pop Label in the 'Winner's Challenge Race', which is over the same distance, but the tenth race on the card. Pop Label will be ridden by his usual jockey, Yuji Iwahashi, with the start scheduled for 7:25pm - a couple of hours after Agua-chan's outing, in which she has two main rivals as far as I can see.
Early reports on the new Carrot Club yearlings are starting to come in, with the Heart's Cry kid we'll be profiling next being a horse that loves to run naturally - an excellent sign if we take the teachings of Tesio seriously, and I certainly do. The other notable report concerned the Montjeu colt, who apparently moves quite exceptionally - he's already picking up fans amongst the training staff. Three of the seven I chose have already sold out, incidentally...
