Major Downer

I don't know whether I should be surprised or not, but it has just been announced that Porthos Du Vallon will not be running tomorrow after all. Apparently, there's been a problem at the stable, and although it's sorted, he won't be fit in time. He'll be fit enough to go to auction on the 3rd September, though, and maybe even do a flat race in-between now and the sales. Okay. Whichever way you look at it, we're back to square one with the lack of a jumper...
