A Few To Watch For

First up is Pop Label, booked for the B3 1600m 11R at Funabashi on the 16th April (Mori-kun has since been named as the jockey), while Phosphorus will run at Urawa, or if not, the next Kawasaki meeting a little while later...

Nothing much happening on the JRA front again - only got 14 horses of racing age in that arena, so what do you expect? Crazy system! Anyway, Tenshinramman is supposed to run at Fukushima with Hiyato Yoshida in an 1800m turf race on the 18th, and Miracle Rouge is down for an 1800m dirt race on the same day at Nakayama; Yuichi Shibayama should be in the saddle. Massabielle should be out in the following week at Tokyo, lined up for a 2300m turf race. 'Massa' is the only one that hasn't been on holiday for months and months, so that's probably the only one to look out for.

There may be something interesting happening on the British racing front, although nothing concrete as yet. I'll keep you informed as and when things develop.

PS. Tenshinramman and Miracle Rouge have been confirmed to run tomorrow, with Massabielle still being lined up for the 25th. With luck, Belle Plage should be out next week, too. And in Australia, Raining Dollars had a good jump-out, meaning he should be in racing action soon.

Bad Vibes

Of course, Pop Label didn't get a berth at the TCK meeting, which is a shame, as Iwata-san was lined up as the jockey. Not only that, 'Bugatti' was in a weird mood today and launched Sophie into orbit. She'd held on nicely quite a few times, but he was just too wild today and she ended up eating dirt. To rub salt into the wound, I got the first incoming call on my mobile for ages (can't remember the last time), and it turned out it was the wrong number - the missus was required on yet more bloody PTA business! Oh well, back to work...
