Although the loss of Tenshinramman in the Shion Stakes was quite a shock (she'd even made the headlines in the sports newspapers out here as the one to watch), at least Miracle Rouge has been confirmed a slot in the gate for the same race. Earlier in the day, Mosto Verde runs in the 3R at Nakayama, and both Mephisto Waltz and Irish Harp (pictured on the right) will do battle at Hanshin, so Saturday will be extremely busy!
Just learned that Quick Bread will be out at Nakayama on the 14th, while in NAR news, there are thoughts of fielding Pop Label in the 1700m Winner's Challenge Race at Monbetsu on the 2nd October. He was being held back for the big Hokkaido race in November, but seeing as he is fit and well, the trainer feels it may be worth giving him an outing in order to prevent race rust setting in...
