Phosphorus really wasn't in the mood at Kawasaki on Monday, and trailed home in a fairly distant sixth. It was no-one's fault - 'Phos' is a straight horse, meaning he gives exactly what he feels like on the day, and this time around he simply didn't want to play the game. Fair enough, because when he does feel like having a go, he gives his all. Anyway, it's been decided to give him a break to help refresh his mind - I could do with one of those myself! I look forward to seeing him back in action once the summer heat dies down.
Next up is Trovao, then we should have JRA action again at the weekend, with Tenshinramman booked for Fukushima, along with Raining Dollars in Australia.
PS. Trovao has had the race on the 2nd scratched, and his debut appointment moved to the 9th. This makes more sense, as it brings back the 1200m option. With JRA races oversubscribed - as usual - this may be a quiet week after all...
